Nowadays, runners and triathletes train with more emphasis on mileage rather than movement quality. This explains the prevalence of chronic overuse injuries as a result of poor running form, high mileage, and movement dysfunction. Not to mention never fully reaching the potential in which most are capable of.
The combination of manual therapy and movement training can be powerful in restoring balance and function within the human body. The Integrative Approach to Movement (IA2M) was created to improve movement quality and performance, decrease pain, and reduce the likelihood of injury as a result of your training.
Gray Cook’s quote of, “Move well, then move often,” is the foundational principle in which this program was created. Once quality is restored, quantity is encouraged to reinforce proper movement patterns.
You should consider this program because there aren’t many professionals that take a function-based approach to performance training. Luckily, Garrett has the skill set and experience to help you create lasting results! He has demonstrated this over the years with quality, hands-on therapy alongside a structured functional training program.
The IA2M program is a tiered offering based upon how much in-person attention you require to achieve your goals. This ranges from as little as a monthly assessment/re-assessment and fully designed functional movement program, to several functional training and therapy sessions each and every week.
The initial assessment is where we determine which package option will best fit your situation. Together we will make an educated decision based upon the assessment outcome, goals in running/triathlon, injury history, time commitment, and financial cost. Regardless of your situation, the IA2M will meet you where you are, as we work together to reach new heights.

“As an older triathlete who has had several surgeries, having an athletic trainer who is also A.R.T. certified offers many benefits from recovery to overall performance with proper muscle movement. Garrett is able to zero in on areas that need strengthening, however, when I stress a muscle too far, he treats the muscle area with A.R.T. to reduce potential injury. In addition, I have discovered getting an ART treatment prior to my workout helps improve my range of motion and overall muscle strength to maximize the workout. Over the last 3 months, my overall recovery from one workout to the next is much faster and less painful!” – Susan W“I had my assessment last night with Garrett. He did a fantastic job! I can’t brag on him enough. He really took the time to explain everything he was doing and was very informative on the mobility issues I have and how they affect my current training. He also showed me stretching and foam rolling techniques to help improve my mobility restrictions.Thank you so much for this opportunity. It was very helpful in understanding the reason for my limitations and how to properly address them. This knowledge will definitely help improve my training and potential for improvement.” – Angelia H
